When
Dr. Elba Garcia isn't fixing streets, she's fixing teeth.
 A
successful dentist, Dr. Garcia earned her D.D.S. from the Baylor
College of Dentistry in 1990.
However, many more people know Dr. Garcia
as a former mayor pro tem of Dallas. In that capacity, she demonstrated
an amazing ability to unite people with different perspectives
and lead them toward a resolution of whatever critical issue lay
before them.
As county commissioner, she will continue
to work on the issues Dallas County residents have said they consider
most vital to their quality of life — regional transportation,
economic development, public safety, delivery of health services,
the local judiciary and the environment.
Dr. Elba Garcia possesses the experience and
knowledge in public service that Dallas County needs to thrive
in the coming decade.
